We did it again. We re-elected the very man so many complained about doing poor job. Republicans voted for Boehner with the help of a few Democrats. Our own Congressman Mark Meadows voted against Boehner in a last minute “coup” to oust a truly lousy Speaker. THANK YOU for trying, Congressman Meadows!

Members Louie Gohmert (R-TX), Daniel Webster (R-FL), and Ted Yoho (R-FL) threw their hats into the ring to take the driver’s seat in the House. There were 25 Republican Representatives that didn’t vote for Boehner in the Roll Call vote.  Rep. Walter Jones (R-NC) has this to say to TheHill.com:

“The American people are very upset by this leadership. I mean, I have not had this many phone calls since the shutdown of the government. It’s just unbelievable,” said Rep. Walter Jones (R-N.C.), who voted for Rep. Daniel Webster (R-Fla.) and was one of the architects of the “fire Boehner” campaign.

“The 25 of us who voted the way that we did represented the frustration of the American people,” he added. “I’m surprised we didn’t get 30, to be honest with you.” (TheHill.com)

Speaker John Boehner has presided over trillions of dollars in NEW SPENDING. Remember the House controls the purse strings of United States government. Have we seen any restraint? Boehner seems to have worked closely with Obama, not against him, not with the people, not for the Constitution. Where is the difference between Republicans and Democrats with Boehner driving the bus into the ditch?
