Revised Farm Bill Passes House
“The House passed an updated version of the Farm Bill on Thursday. I am pleased that we were able to separate the food stamp portion from the bill so that we can reform those programs separately while still passing a farm bill to give certainty to the farmers who work hard to feed our families.
“With the passage of this bill, my amendment to get burdensome Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations out of the way of the timber industry’s disaster cleanup efforts also passed the House.”
