Rep. Meadows’ speaks on lots of issues in first town hall meeting
LENOIR N.C. — Congressman Mark Meadows spent his first trip back to the 11th Congressional District since the first of the year traveling between Burke, Henderson and Caldwell counties Friday.
He ended his day with his first town hall meeting since being elected in November.
High-ranking Caldwell County Republicans including county commissioners, school board members and the sheriff were among the more than 70 people that filled a meeting room on the bottom floor of the Caldwell County Library.
Meadows spent the first part of the hour-long meeting speaking to the crowd about budgetary concerns.
“If we could run the federal government the way we run county government we’d be set,” said Meadows, the first-term GOP representative.
